Green Week 2008 - Brussels - from Tuesday 3 rd (mid-day) until Friday 6 th of June (mid-day)
Behind the problems of climate change, natural resources scarcity and pollutions there are underlying issues about production, consumption and waste disposal. Many people are unaware of the speed at which we are using up our natural resources, and that we are producing waste far faster than it can be turned back into a useful resource. Green Week 2008 will take a closer look at the sustainable use of natural resources, focusing on waste management, sustainable consumption and production. It will take place in the Charlemagne building of the European Commission (170 rue de la Loi, 1049 Brussels) from Tuesday 3 rd (mid-day) until Friday 6 th of June (mid-day). The event will provide a unique opportunity for debate, exchanges of experience and best practice among non-governmental organisations, businesses, various levels of government and the public. We hope to see you at Green Week and encourage your active participation in the debates. You can get a feeling for what Green Week is all about from last year's website: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/greenweek2007/home.html A draft programme overview is available on this page: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/greenweek/pdf/draft_programme.pdf Registration for the event begins mid-April 2008 and will remain open until the start of the conference, on this page: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/greenweek/home.html If you applied for an exhibition stand, please note that you will be informed about the attribution of stands by 11 April 2008. |
